Recent ActivityWelcome to Mrs. Maddox's class. I have been teaching at LRES for eight years. I have my degrees in elementary education and gifted education. I am very lucky to team teach with Mrs. Joswick and Miss Northup. Together, we teach all of the fifth graders at Lake Ridge. I teach the social studies to all and language arts to my homeroom. Mrs. Joswick enjoys teaching the students in math and Miss Northup teaches all the science. We think we make a great team! We feel this method of teaching enables our students to be ready to handle the demands of middle school when they leave us.
I am looking forward to a great year! We have a brand new curriculum in social studies that focuses on geography. I am looking forward to sharing that with the students.
